About

RACHEL PAAP - Founder

Rachel Paap’s career began at BBDO advertising agency and spanned into the entertainment field focused in music and marketing, with positions at Creative Artists Agency, Capitol Records and boutique literary agencies, where she reviewed film and television scripts.

Deeply concerned about serious community issues such as dog and cat overpopulation, she chose to fuse her entertainment background with her determination to make a difference.

Paap has managed plans and communications strategies on behalf of well-known charities worldwide, individuals and government departments serving various demographics, communities and populations predominantly in one of the most wide-ranging metropolitan cities; Los Angeles.

As part of a charitable organization, an agency team, and as a consultant, Paap has administered multiple programs with government contracts, allowing the opportunity to work with high level officials, executives, community leaders, major donors and businesses. On both the grassroots and macro levels, Paap’s coalition building experience includes hands-on interaction, engagement and unbiased comprehension of widely diverse groups of people.

The broad based public affairs and marketing tactics that have been applied to the non-profit sector led to corporate partnerships, pilot programs, critical issue exposure and significant joint ventures that benefitted a myriad of communities throughout the country.

Her first side project resulted in a series of comical print ads promoting spay and neuter for companion animals.  As the director of both Los Angeles city-contracted free mobile veterinary clinics, she forged key partnerships with organizations to build overflow programs and increase the accessibility of services for low-income pet owners.

She has spearheaded many promotional partnerships with high-profile entities such as The Los Angeles Dodgers, professional sports athletes, celebrities and top media outlets delivering unorthodox results across the public and private sectors.

Paap has a Bachelors degree from Whittier College, and is an executive member of the alumni board. She received a Certificate in public relations & fundraising for non-profit organizations from UCLA.

Paap was elected to serve on the Spay-Neuter Advisory Committee by the Los Angeles City Council, which provided an independent assessment regarding the impact of the city’s spay/neuter policies on the city’s low-income residents, and to recommend any new improvements and/or changes to the city’s spay/neuter program that will enhance services to low-income pet owners, and fulfill the purpose of the ordinance.

Paap serves on various boards, including the Pet Assistance Foundation (www.PetAssistanceFoundation.org), and The Sirens Society (www.SirensSociety.org). She has acted as the Director of Animal Welfare for Hollywood, responding to animal-related issues, as well as allocating city funding towards vital programs and community outreach events.
